SoloPower Rooftop Solutions

Say Hello to 'Super Roof'

SoloPower offers a unique solution for the rooftop solar market. Not only is a lightweight roof a possiblility, but a total 'green' roof is acheiveble. The diagram below shows a metal roof installation with comparitive loads for various stages of a green roof.

Type 1 Installation

In the diagram, the lower left section of the roof shows a SoloPower LPV panel installed straight onto a metal roof sheet. The total load of the PV system is 2.5kg per square meter including cabling. To learn more about this installation method, please see the youtube link - click here.

Type 2 Installation

Creating the ultimate green roof is simple and affordable. With SoloPower LPV technology, a 'super' eco roof is acheivable on both new and existing commercial rooftops. Here is how it works:

  1. Lay down our roof insulation board made from polyurethane foam, specifically profiled to the metal roof design.
  2. Lay down the BASF TPE waterproofing material and secure through to the metal roof sheet
  3. Weld (fusion heat welding) the TPE overlapping seems and cover any mechanical fixings
  4. Install any ends on the TPE system creating a watertight unibody
  5. Lay SoloPower LPV panels with structural adhesive on top of the TPE
  6. Lay UV stable cable trunking for PV wires with same adhesive
